The Groom
Richard William Nelson Jr. was born on March 9, 1981 to Sylvia Leimomi Ontai-Nelson and Richard William Nelson Sr. Growing up he has had 2 father figures in his life, his dad, and also someone he considers his 2nd father, Rudy Nery. He is a graduate of Mililani high school and also graduated 9yrs of Japanese School. He has a Liberal Arts Degree from UH West Oahu and runs a Karate dojo in Mililani (DOJO PLUG www.FSKAH.com) and has many awesome students. He also has certifications in networking and DOS programming and currently works at Hawaiian Telcom as a network analyst which has been one of his dream jobs. If he had the choice though, he'd be a full time Karate instructor but Ashley has to eat (she's eating for 2 now).
The Bride
Ashley Marie Teruko Takara was born on December 12, 1985 to Sid Takara and Dawn Fujiwara-Takara. Growing up Ashley played Tennis and was an OIA High School Tennis champion for Mililani High School. She graduated Mililani High School in 2003. After high school she got into photography and landed a job as a photographer eventually going on to become the Studio Manager at Lifetouch Studios. She currently works at Nordstrom and helps her family out by decorating cakes at their family business, Kilani Bakery. She still does wedding photography and recommended she take the pictures for her own wedding using her tripod and timer.
